Available Positions
- POSITION: Network Systems Lead in Seattle, Washington
- DESCRIPTION: Candidate will be able to: apply best practices to our network systems including maintenance of network hardware and software, support network availability through the planning, design, implementation and maintenance of internal IT infrastructure, test systems, live-site systems and software configuration management systems and assure reliable deployment of our web applications. Candidate's specific duties will include: defining and implementing monitoring and control processes; implementing scalable database, application and network infrastructure; identifying priorities for system optimization; working with the scrum team to iteratively enhance system infrastructure; evaluating and recommending platform technologies; redesigning existing systems for optimal use; designing scalable, secure, low maintenance systems for future growth; presenting plans to executives and other stakeholders for review and approval; planing and scheduling all required maintenance; implementing or overseeing the implementation of planned systems; developing monitoring systems; developing automated systems that assist in restoring services after service outages; performing scheduled and emergency maintenance on all live-site and internal infrastructure systems; reviewing existing software deployment systems for best practices and efficiency; providing input and review on new technologies and their impact on the software deployment process and live-site operations; designing and implementing systems to automate software deployment for new technologies as they are delivered from the development group; supporting all planned releases and patches.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related technical field, or the foreign degree equivalent, or an equivalent based on education and/or work experience.*
- Five years of professional experience in network systems architecture and configuration. Experience must include: 4 years high-scale (1000+ sec) production level full life-cycle design, implementation and 24/7 support for LAMp systems including server virtualization, network infrastructure and data center management. Experience must also include 2 years experience with SDLC definition and implementation and specific experience with modern OSS SCM systems. Experience can be gained concurrently.
* Will accept educational equivalency evaluation prepared by qualified evaluation service or in accordance with 8 C.F.R. Section 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(D).
