Spencer: I think that was just Paul…
Al: I mean when you look at this stuff that you have on this tape do you have any regrets about doing what you do?
Spencer: I was actually going to ask your producers to get a copy of that little highlight reel because that was one of my favorite things ever to watch.
Al: Is it really?
Spencer: Absolutely.
Al: When you decide to do this, you’re screaming at people is this just an act or is this that you really are?
Spencer: Well I’m not an actor so…
Al: Well there are those that say some of The Hills was scripted even though its reality. I mean you want to be the villain.
Spencer: I didn’t say that.
Al: You said that.
Spencer: For the competitive show, not in life I want to be a hero. But in a show…
Al: But when you act like that how do you expect people to think of you as a hero.
Spencer: No on that show I’m a villain, in life I want to be a hero. On a television show that has one winner, like a champion, like a competitive show that’s the show I would chose to be the villain or the bad guy ‘cause the bad guy is the hardest part to understand in the competition.
Al: Heidi, are you proud of all this?
Heidi: It was a very hard situation. I think when you go to the jungle…
Al: The answer to are you proud o this?
Heidi: Am I proud of what?
Al: With the way you guys behaved in this program.
Heidi: Um, I mean I’m not ashamed. I don’t think anything was wrong with it…
Al: But are you proud of it?
Heidi: Um, sure. I think that I got sick and we had to leave but we had fun in the jungle too. And there were a couple of moments that were very intense and you know build ups and it didn’t show everything that happened in those events but you know we just went there to win and have fun…
Al: You guys claim that you were tortured during this.
Spencer and Heidi: No we never claimed that.
Al: Yes you did. You claimed you were tortured. Your sister put claims out…
Spencer: My sister who I don’t speak with.
Al: …you don’t speak with. So she just…
Spencer: On an episode or two maybe I speak with her.
Al: You go from not speaking to her, you spoke to her a couple of times but the fact is she put out that there was torture.
Spencer: My sister doesn’t speak for me. I never put out anything nor did my wife ever say there was torture. If my sister wants to quote from NBC who said there was going to be 3 days of torture that she was just repeating that they said to People.com which she then twittered you can call that whatever you like. But no we never said NBC tortures.
Al: Now you describe yourself as a new Christian. You were baptized by Stephen Baldwin in the water. Was that part of a ploy?
Spencer: Absolutely not Stephen was just such an amazing energy and force I have ever been around and I just felt the love you know. I’ve never been around somebody who just like he had so much love around him. Whatever you are doing, I want to be part of it and he said it was Jesus.
Al: This behavior this is not going to continue now that you’re off the show is it? I mean you say villain some people say jerk.
Spencer: Tomato, tomato.
Al: And this is something you want to continue? What’s next for you guys?
Spencer: We live in the moment. Like next is maybe walking to there. I don’t…
Al: But you’re going to have to walk to there because you’re done now.
Spencer: But maybe I’ll go that way, that’s my point. I don’t think that far in advance.
