And your mom or dad has to actually come pick you up from the airport.” Matt’s Mom: “Hello.” Travi: “Mrs. McGinley. Hey it’s Travi.” Matt’s Mom: “Hey Travis.” Travi: “How are you?” Matt’s Mom: “I’m good how are you?” Travi: “Um, I’ good. I really hate to call you under such circumstances, but we’re at the airport and they’re detaining Matt. They found some illegal substances in his bag and Tasashi had just finished eating a sandwich and they think he may have swallowed some drugs so they’re keeping him until he poops it out. And I don’t know what to do, I’m freaking out.” Matt’s Mom: “Well I don’t know what to do either.” Travi: “I hate my life.” Matt’s Mom: “Um, Travis has said that they’re detaining Matt at the airport for some illegal substances. What does Matt say?” Travi: “They won’t let us see him. They have him in a detainee room.” Matt’s Mom: “Well is there anybody with…” Romeo: “What are you doing on the phone?!” Travi: “I’m sorry.” Romeo: “Who you talking to?” Travi: “I’m talking to Matt’s mother.” Romeo: “Let me talk to her. Ma'am, Officer Stevens, I just want to let you know that we started full cavity search and we’ve run into a little problem.” Matt’s Mom: “I don’t understand.” Romeo: “Well we’re having a problem with our search, with our cavity search.” Matt’s Mom: “I don’t know what that means.” Romeo: “We tore some tissue.” Matt’s Mom: “You tore some tissue?!” Romeo: “Yeah, I think this has never been done…which one is your son?” Matt’s Mom: “My son is Matt McGinley.” Romeo: “You know he’s running around with a rough crowd. You know that right?” Matt’s Mom: “No, I don’t.” Romeo: “These guys with him…he seems to be the good kid out of the bunch but these other jokers with him I don’t know.” Matt’s Mom: “Um, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Romeo: “Okay, take the phone back; I got to go finish this shirt.” Travi: “Mrs. McGinley…” Matt’s Mom: “What does that mean the tore tissue? I don’t understand.” Travi: “They did a full cavity search. I think he’s bleeding pretty bad they had to go into his rectum to see…” Matt’s Mom: “Did they take him to the hospital?” Travi: “He’s in the detaining room. They won’t take him anywhere.” Matt’s Mom: “Well if Matthew is bleeding he needs to be seen by emergency personnel.” Travi: “I know that but they won’t take him anywhere. They think he has drugs in his body.” Matt’s Mom: “They can’t just keep him there if he’s bleeding. I need to speak…” Romeo: “So wait, these guys are rock stars. You’re a band. Is that what this is?” Travi: “Yeah, we’re in a band called Gym Class Heroes.” Romeo: “Gym Class what?” Travi: “Gym Class Heroes.” Romeo: “Gym Class Heroes.” Matt’s Mom: “Sir…” Travi: “They’re being so rude to me Mrs. McGinley. I don’t know what to do.” Romeo: “You know he has a piercing above his lip, what is that?” Matt’s Mom: “Sir?” Romeo: “Yes ma’am.” Matt’s Mom: “If my son is bleeding he needs to be taken to a hospital.” Romeo: “We’re walking on that ma’am.” Romeo: “Stevens that kid is bleed pretty bad man.” Matt’s Mom: “Would you please get him to emergency please?” Romeo: “Ma’am have you ever stood up in front of a large group of people before.” Matt’s Mom: “Excuse me?” Romeo: “Have you been in front of a large group of people before?” Matt’s Mom: “No.” Romeo: “Maybe 2.7 million people. No?” Matt’s Mom: “Is this a joke?” Matt: “Mom, before you hang up we’re on Z100.” Matt’s Mom: “I don’t think that’s funny. I’m hanging up right now.” Romeo: “My name is not Officer Stevens my name is Romeo. And I just want to let you know that your son is now officially rock star status…” Matt’s Mom: “That’s no funny. I’m a mother. I am shaking. I am so upset.” Matt: “Aren’t you glad I’m not detained?” Matt’s Mom: “How could you do that to me? I’m so sorry I wouldn’t wish that on anybody’s mom. You’re not like that.”
