Woman: Hit a cat and I’ll hit your kid. It’s very shocking, it’s disturbing.
Anchor: Tina said she put up the sign to get speeding drivers to pay attention and slow down. Last week her cat was killed right in front of her home and the driver didn’t stop after the accident. The sheriff said the sign isn’t meant to threaten kids but is a last resort because no one was listening.
Woman: And I stood out here and yelled at people you know slow down, stay out of the bike lane and people were just like you nut!
Anchor: Neighbors agree the problem needs attention especially with a school down the street. Because of the controversy Tina put up a new sign to send a message to the person who hit her cat. It says may God have mercy on your souls for taking any life.
