Anchor: A dog owner thinks her dog got sick after finding a stash of marijuana and then eating it. The theory may not be farfetched. This Seattle woman said her dog wandered off for a few minutes at a park. She later noticed something was wrong with her 11 year old black lab mix named Jack.
Woman: His head was rocking back and forth and his eyes were glossy.
Anchor: The owner took her dog to the vet who said Jack had swallowed a large amount of dry harvested marijuana.
Woman: She was like so he did vomit large quantities of marijuana. And she’s smiling like, I think she’s trying to make me feel reassured too. She was trying not to laugh because I was seriously like my baby is in the emergency vet, you know.
Anchor: The police said this is the first time that drugs have been found in that park. Just days before a wilderness guide found a duffle bag packed with over 5 pounds of weed.
Woman: Sounds like someone is using the park to stash their business which is not very cool.
Anchor: The dog’s owner said the incident was traumatic and costly but she joked the police could borrow he dog to find drugs if they paid the $1500 vet bill.
