Woman: Hi this is…calling for the transfer for…phone number is…this women and her husband stating that their 6 year old son they had an experimental flying saucer that they built. They believe that their 6 year old son is in it and flying around. They left off in 20 minutes ago.

Operator: Is the flying saucer gone as well?
Mayumi Heene: About 20 minutes I think.
Operator: They’ve both been missing about 20 minutes?

Operator: Okay, how long has the 6-year-old been missing?
Richard: 15 minutes.
Operator: Was the flying saucer in the back yard?
Richard: Yes.
Operator: Does it have electronics so he knows how to work it in the air, off the ground?
Richard: No, he doesn’t know how it operates.
Operator: He does not know how to operate it and that’s gone too though right? Are you sure that he’s in that?
Richard: Yeah, we looked everywhere and my sons just said, he verified that he went inside just before it went off. And we had it tethered; it wasn’t supposed to take off.
Operator: Okay, was it running then?
Richard: Well it doesn’t run, it’s filled with helium and it operates off a million volts to move left and right, horizontal. And we were testing it to find out what effects it would get.
Operator: Okay and it was last seen 20 minutes ago?
Richard: Probably, I’m not exactly sure of the time but yeah.
Operator: Okay, so there’s no electronics on it? There’s no tracking device right?
Richard: No, no I don’t know whether it’s possible for you guys to emit the electricity it emits. But every 5 minutes it comes off at 1 minute and it emits a million volts in the outer skin. He can get electrocuted.
Operator: Okay, so every 5 minutes it comes on for 1 minute and then shuts off again.
Richard: Right.
Operator: And it does have to charge?
Richard: No.
Operator: Okay, that’s okay. How big is this machine?
Richard: 20 feet across…high.
Operator: Okay. And the wind is going pretty good today which direction is the wind blowing?
Richard: …

Richard: South-east. So right straight for the…airport. I hope the FAA is listening to me. If an aircraft hits it…

Richard: Uh, yeah.
Operator: And is it silver in color?
Richard: Yeah it’s got aluminum foil on it.
Operator: Okay.
Richard: That’s how t gets it’s charge.
Operator: So it’s totally silver foil right?
Richard: Yes.
Operator: Okay. And he has no idea how to turn it or anything is that right? No instruction has been given to him?
Richard: No, no there’s no way to turn it, no.
Operator: And he has no idea how to land it or anything.

Richard: It was just supposed to be in the back yard.

Sir, I’m gonna go ahead…we’ve already contacted the FAA and they’re already made aware of it and I’m going to go ahead and call the…airport and let them know as well okay? Sir? Hello? Hello? Hello? Look under airport. Sir? Hello? She already did. Has the FAA called you? Oh okay. It’s not electronical, you’re not going to be able to track it. He said it only comes on for a minute at a time. And my caller is completely gone. I don’t know if he’s on another line or what. Sir? Hello? I don’t know what happened with our call connection but…they’re gonna have to get like search and rescue and everybody because they can’t just pop it. Hello?
